Pricing FAQ
Is the free plan really free? No hidden costs?
Yes. Completely free for anyone with a .edu email. No credit card, no trial that converts, no bandwidth overage charges. We've been free since launch and plan to stay that way. The free tier is funded by Pro/Department revenue and university partnerships.
What counts toward bandwidth?
Outbound data transfer — the bytes your visitors download. Build logs, API calls to our dashboard, and CLI traffic don't count. Most student sites use well under 10 GB/month.
What happens if I exceed my limits?
We don't cut you off. If you hit your storage or bandwidth cap, we'll email you and give you a week to reduce usage or upgrade. During that week, your site stays live. We believe in warnings, not surprises.
Can I use the Pro plan after graduation?
Student Pro ($0/mo) is available as long as your .edu email is active. After graduation, the Pro plan costs $8/month. You can downgrade to Free at any time — your projects and data stay intact, just subject to lower limits.
How does Department pricing work?
Department plans are priced based on total storage, number of users, and support level. We bill your institution directly and can work with procurement/PO processes. Contact us for a quote — most departments pay $200–$800/year.
Do you offer discounts for student organizations?
Registered student organizations (ACM chapters, hackathon teams, student government, etc.) can apply for a free Pro plan for their org account. Email us from your org's .edu email with proof of registration.
